Wedge-tailed Green Pigeons are often seen in pairs or small groups, foraging on fruiting trees and shrubs for berries, fruits, and seeds. They are relatively arboreal birds, spending much of their time perched in trees and flying between feeding sites. During the breeding season, which typically occurs from spring to summer, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeons build simple nests of twigs and grass in trees. Both parents share incubation duties and care for the young chicks until they fledge. The species is known for its soft cooing call, which is a common sound in its habitat and is often heard throughout the day.
