Short Description:
The Common Buttonquail (Turnix sylvaticus), also known as the Common Bustard-Quail, is a small ground-dwelling bird found across various regions of Pakistan. These birds inhabit a range of habitats including grasslands, scrublands, and agricultural fields, preferring areas with dense vegetation where they can conceal themselves easily.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
In Pakistan, the Common Buttonquail is distributed widely throughout the country, from the lowlands to the foothills of mountains. They are commonly found in provinces such as Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Common Buttonquails are generally shy and elusive birds, often difficult to spot due to their cryptic plumage and secretive nature. They are primarily terrestrial, spending much of their time foraging on the ground for seeds, insects, and small invertebrates. These birds are known for their distinctive habit of running swiftly through dense vegetation rather than taking flight when disturbed, making them well-adapted to their ground-dwelling lifestyle.
