In Pakistan, Common Cranes are mainly found in the northern regions, particularly during the winter months. They migrate to Pakistan from their breeding grounds in northern Europe and Asia, seeking warmer climates and abundant food sources. Common Cranes are often observed in wetland habitats such as marshes, lakes, and rivers, where they forage for food and roost during the night.
Common Cranes are highly social birds, often seen foraging and roosting in large flocks. They are diurnal birds, primarily active during daylight hours, with peak activity occurring in the early morning and late afternoon. Common Cranes are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of food items, including insects, small mammals, grains, and plant matter.
