Short Description:

The Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) is a migratory bird found in Pakistan during the winter months. It inhabits wetlands, marshes, and waterlogged areas across the country. With its long bill and cryptic plumage, it blends seamlessly into its surroundings, making it challenging to spot.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
In Pakistan, Common Snipes are primarily distributed in regions such as wetlands along the Indus River, coastal areas, and freshwater lakes like Keenjhar Lake and Haleji Lake.
These birds exhibit solitary behavior, often foraging in shallow water or mud for invertebrates such as worms, insects, and crustaceans. They are known for their distinctive “drumming” sound produced during aerial displays, which is created by air rushing through their tail feathers during steep dives.
