Eurasian Sparrowhawk is distributed across a variety of habitats, including forests, woodlands, scrublands, and even urban areas with suitable cover. They are found throughout the country, from the northern mountainous regions to the southern plains.
Eurasian Sparrowhawks are ambush predators, using surprise and agility to hunt small birds and occasionally small mammals. They often hunt by surprise, bursting from cover to catch their prey in a rapid and agile flight. Their diet primarily consists of songbirds, including sparrows, finches, and thrushes, which they capture with swift and precise attacks.
