Short Description:
Heuglin's Gull (Larus heuglini) is a migratory bird species found in Pakistan during the winter months. They are commonly seen along the coastal areas, estuaries, and wetlands of the country. Identified by their white bodies, grey wings, and black wingtips, Heuglin's Gulls exhibit opportunistic feeding behaviors, consuming fish, crustaceans, and various invertebrates. They may also scavenge on human refuse in urban areas. These gulls migrate to their breeding grounds in the Arctic during the breeding season. In Pakistan, they often form mixed flocks with other gull species, adding to the rich avian diversity of the region.
