Short Description:

The Sind Sparrow (Passer pyrrhonotus) is a small bird species endemic to the arid regions of Pakistan. It exhibits distinctive plumage, characterized by its reddish-brown upperparts, white underparts, and a black bib. Males sport a prominent chestnut crown and nape, while females have duller colors.

Sind Sparrows are social birds often seen in flocks, foraging on the ground for seeds, grains, and small insects. They construct cup-shaped nests in thorny bushes or low trees, where they raise their young. During the breeding season, males engage in territorial displays, including singing and fluttering flights, to attract mates and defend their nesting territories.
