the Common Linnet is distributed across various habitats including grasslands, agricultural fields, and scrublands. It can be found throughout the country, from the plains to the foothills of the northern regions.

Common Linnets are social birds often found in small flocks, especially during the non-breeding season. They feed primarily on seeds, particularly those of grasses and weeds, but also insects during the breeding season. Their flight is undulating, and they have a melodious song, especially during the breeding season when males sing to establish territories and attract mates.
