Short Description:

The Ortolan bunting (Emberiza hortulana) is a small passerine bird species found in Pakistan. It has a distinctive yellow throat and breast with streaked brown and white plumage on its back. During breeding season, males display a black bib on their throats.

They are known for their migratory behavior, undertaking long-distance migrations between breeding and wintering grounds. During migration, they form flocks and travel considerable distances. In breeding season, males establish territories and sing to attract females, while both parents participate in raising the young.
