This species is commonly found in montane forests and scrublands at elevations ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 meters above sea level in Pakistan. It is often spotted in areas with dense vegetation and near water sources.
Blyth’s Rosefinch is typically observed foraging for seeds, berries, and insects in shrubs and low vegetation. During the breeding season, males engage in territorial displays to attract females, often singing from prominent perches. They form small flocks outside the breeding season and may migrate to lower altitudes in winter.
