Common Babblers are widespread throughout Pakistan, inhabiting various habitats such as forests, scrublands, and cultivated areas. They are commonly found in the foothills of mountains, as well as in lowland regions across the country.
These birds are highly social and often seen in noisy flocks of around seven to ten individuals, although larger groups are not uncommon. They communicate through a range of vocalizations, including chirps, chatters, and whistles. Their diet mainly consists of insects, spiders, berries, and seeds. They are known for their cooperative breeding behavior, where multiple individuals within the group help raise the young. Common Babblers are also known to be territorial, defending their territories with vocal displays and occasional aggression towards intruders.
