Common Starlings have a wide distribution across Pakistan, found in various regions including cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and rural areas. They are commonly seen throughout the country, especially during the winter months when they migrate from colder regions.
These birds are highly social and often form large flocks, particularly during migration and roosting. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a varied diet consisting of insects, fruits, seeds, and even garbage. Their adaptability allows them to thrive in diverse habitats, from urban landscapes to rural farmlands. They are known for their vocalizations, producing a variety of whistles, chirps, and mimicry of other bird species.
