Common Grasshopper-Warbler can be found in suitable habitats across various regions, including grasslands, marshes, and wetlands. It is particularly prevalent in the northern and western parts of the country, including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan provinces. During the breeding season, it occupies reed beds and tall grassy areas near water bodies.
Common Grasshopper-Warblers are primarily insectivorous, feeding on a variety of small invertebrates such as insects, spiders, and larvae. Their behavior is characterized by their elusive nature, often staying concealed within dense vegetation to avoid detection. They have a distinctive song, which is most commonly heard during the breeding season when males use it to establish territories and attract mates. Outside of the breeding season, they may migrate to warmer regions or adopt a more solitary lifestyle.
