The Knob-billed Duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos) is a rare resident and local visitor in Pakistan, found around freshwater wetlands, lakes, marshes, and floodplains. Males are easily recognized by the prominent black knob on their bill, while both sexes display striking glossy green and white plumage. Feeding on aquatic plants, seeds, and small invertebrates, this distinctive waterfowl is an impressive sight for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.
