Short Description:

Small bird, slate-blue upperparts, whitish underparts, orange-red tail. Males have darker blue upperparts. Females and juveniles are duller. Typically found near fast-flowing streams and rivers.

Found in Pakistan, particularly in northern regions such as the Himalayas, Murree Hills, and Azad Kashmir. Prefers altitudes between 600 to 2,400 meters.
Agile and territorial, often seen perching on rocks or branches near water sources. Feeds on insects, frequently darting into the water to catch prey. Males are known for their melodious songs during breeding season, defending territories vigorously.
