The Red-tailed Wheatear, also known as the Persian Wheatear (Oenanthe chrysopygia), is a small passerine bird found in Pakistan. It has a distinctive red tail and a brownish-grey body with white markings. Its habitat includes rocky hillsides, scrubland, and desert regions.

The Red-tailed Wheatear is primarily found in the arid and semi-arid regions of Balochistan province, including areas such as Quetta, Ziarat, and Khuzdar. It may also be spotted in parts of Sindh and Punjab provinces, particularly in dry, open habitats.
Red-tailed Wheatears are often seen perched on rocks or low shrubs, from where they hunt insects and small invertebrates on the ground. They are known for their territorial behavior during the breeding season, often defending their nesting sites vigorously. Their breeding season typically occurs from March to July, during which they build cup-shaped nests in crevices or holes in rocks or walls.
