The Sind Sparrow is primarily found in the Sindh province of Pakistan, particularly in the Thar Desert and surrounding arid habitats. It also occurs in parts of Punjab and Balochistan provinces, but its distribution is localized to specific arid and semi-arid regions.
Sind Sparrows are social birds often seen in flocks, foraging on the ground for seeds, grains, and small insects. They construct cup-shaped nests in thorny bushes or low trees, where they raise their young. During the breeding season, males engage in territorial displays, including singing and fluttering flights, to attract mates and defend their nesting territories.
